The Questioner: Some men, when they touch their wives while they are menstruating and they themselves are in a state of Wuḍūʾ, [and so] they go back to make Wuḍūʾ again, is this correct?

Shaykh Muqbil: No, this is not correct. What is correct [in this matter] is that merely touchign a woman does not [nullify and] necessitate Wuḍūʾ; whether you have touched your wife or without desire—except if madhī (pre-seminal fluid) occurs [and comes out].

[If] you have touched your wife and madhī was released, then you [must] go and wash [yourself],  or [if you touch your wife and] madhī is released, then she [must] go and remake her Wuḍūʾ. Similarily, you must go and remake your Wuḍūʾ  again and wash that which was touched by the madhī be it your undergarments, or that you sprinkle water over it.
